13th September 2008                                               Snapper Ron's photos (Limited range)

A very successful Sprint Regatta with a record entry;
154 crews competed in 102 races from 9:30am to 5pm.

Many thanks to the squad of umpires who kept the show running  (and, indeed, finished 7 minutes ahead of time); Mike Haggerty, Fiona Thomson, Nicky Chambers, Aideen Lyons, Gordon Kerr, Ian Duncan, Catriona Wilson, Fiona Murray, Gary Bain, Jen Thomson, Robert Reid, Douglas Cameron.

A spectacular (and possibly unique?) distinction was achieved by Atholl Wallace of ASRA when he won 100% of the events that he entered at the Sprint - and 'so what?'  I hear you all say .... well, he had entered six events. 
As the new Mens Captain of ASRA, Atholl will be hoping that he can inspire his clubmates to similar feats over the next year.

It looked like the Gordon and Steven were praying for inspiration (it worked, as they also had a 100% success rate in their events)
